1. New York Rangers vs. Washington Capitals

Details: Wednesday, October 16 @ 7:00 PM ET - Verizon Center - Washington D.C.

Watch Here: NBCSN with XFINITY

Why Watch: We're six games into the #Caps season and Alexander Ovechkin is already in MVP form. Ovi has nine points on the year, six goals and three assists, and he'll look to add to that total on #RivalryNight on NBCSN. The Rangers will be out in full force to slow Ovi and the Capitals, as Henrik Lundqvist will look to lock down the net. The Rangers have been on a skid as of late; dropping three of their last four, but a four days off should have them rested and ready for Wednesday night. Make sure you're streaming as the Eastern Metropolitan Division hits the ice for an intense bout between conference rivals.

2. California vs. Washington

Details: Wednesday, October 16 @ 10:30 PM ET - Alaska Airlines Arena - Seattle, WA

Watch Here: Pac-12 Network on XFINITY

Why Watch: The No. 6 Washington Huskies open the doors to the Cal Bears for a midweek match on the Pac-12 Network. The Huskies have looked great this year, with only one loss on the slate. That one loss was to Colorado, who the Bears just swept 3-0. Was the Colorado defeat Washington's one hiccup or will the Bears use that as a blueprint to bring an upset to Alaska Airlines Arena? The Huskies are 4-0 at home this year, but the Bears will bring a tough team to the volleyball court Wednesday night. Don't miss this #Pac12VB league play on the Pac-12 Network.

3. PGA: Shriners Hospitals for Children Open

Details: Thursday, October 17 @ 5:00 PM ET - TPC Summerlin - Las Vegas, NV

Watch Here: Golf Channel with XFINITY

Why Watch: The Shriners Open tees off on Thursday, with a grand prize of 500 FedEx Cup points and a bid to the 2014 Masters going to the winner. TPC Summerlin is the host course and it's known as one of the easier par 71 course out there, the pros averaged a 69 at Summerlin in 2012. The favorite of the field is Zach Johnson who is coming in off a strong showing at the Presidents Cup and top 10 finishes in seven of his last eight starts. Keep an eye on Johnson, Watney, and Vegas native Kevin Na as the @ShrinersOpen tees off Thursday afternoon.

4. Miami Hurricanes vs. North Carolina Tar Heels

Details: Thursday, October 17 @ 7:30 PM ET - Kenan Memorial Stadium - Chapel Hill, NC

Watch Here: ESPN on XFINITY

Why Watch: The Hurricanes have devastated opponents so far this season and will look to extend their win streak to six straight in Chapel Hill Thursday night as they face the Coastal division foe in the up-tempo Tar Heels. The Tar Heels record (1-4) is no reflection of how talented this team is and they know Thursday night is their opportunity to prove such. Heels quarterback, Bryn Renner, can really spin it and they will look to their senior to collect his third 300+ yard game in order to weather the Miami storm. The Canes are a T.O.P. team (time of possession) giving their sophomore tailback, Duke Johnson, plenty of opportunities to tote the rock. Get in the game Thursday night as the #ACC is on ESPN.

5. Michigan State vs. Minnesota

Details: Thursday, October 17 @ 8:00 PM ET - Sports Pavilion - Minneapolis, MN

Watch Here: ESPN2 on XFINITY

Why Watch: The #B1G takes the big stage on ESPN2, as a Top 10 matchup will be served up from the City of Lakes Thursday night. There will be a lot of talent on the volleyball court, on both sides of the net. The Spartan's Lauren Wicinski, senior outside hitter, was named national player of the week earlier this month and is looking to add to her kill count. She'll have a tough time getting it past the Gophers senior mid-blocker, Tori Dixon, who has 84 total blocks on the year. Make sure you're streaming the No. 10 Minnesota Gophers and No. 5 Michigan State Thursday night on XFINITY TV.
