ESPN College GameDay traveling to Oregon for Week 9's UCLA game

Scott Olmos-USA TODAY Sports

The ESPN traveling circus is headed to Eugene for a key Pac-12 showdown.

ESPN's College GameDay will broadcast live from Eugene, Ore. Saturday in preparation for the Oregon Ducks' game against UCLA:

Saturday will mark the first visit to Eugene by the GameDay road show this season. GameDay was on site two weeks ago when the Ducks played at Washington, but has not visited Eugene since Nov.17, 2012, when then-No. 1 Oregon faced Stanford. It will be the eighth time that GameDay has broadcast from Eugene, and the fifth consecutive year that ESPN's Saturday pregame show has visited the Oregon campus. Only Ohio State, Florida, Michigan, USC and LSU have hosted the show more times.

Next week's game at Autzen Stadium could be pivotal to the Pac-12 title race. The Ducks hold a one-game lead atop the Pac-12 North standings, while UCLA's loss to Stanford Saturday cost them their own divisional lead. Oregon opens as a 20-point favorite.

Oregon-UCLA is one of three Week 9 matchups between ranked opponents. Elsewhere, South Carolina visits SEC East frontrunner Missouri, and Texas Tech pays a visit to the Oklahoma Sooners.
