Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson put together a solid effort through the air and on the ground against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5 despite taking a loss. Wilson completed 15 passes for 210 yards. Although he did throw an interception, he more than made up for it with 102 yards rushing on 13 attempts.
Fantasy impact: Early in the first half it seemed the Seahawks were in complete control of the game. Wilson displayed on countless occasions an ability to scramble away from the Colts defensve line and avoid being sacked. He was able to connect with receiver Golden Tate regularly and had the Seahawks looking good.
Though the Seahawks controlled the ball for most of the first half, Colts quarterback Andrew Luck was able to sustain a few drives and lead his team to a win, but none of that is on Wilson. Wilson's performance in Week 5 is something his fantasy owners are happy to see you as the young quarterback has struggled fantasy wise even though the team's record is really good.
Going into Week 6, Wilson and the Seahawks play the Tennessee Titans, a team that has given up the fifth fewest points to fantasy quarterbacks this year. If you're one of those fantasy owners that happens to have multiple quarterbacks, it might be wise to bench Wilson.
