Harry Douglas active for Atlanta Falcons, fantasy owners on Sunday

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons have been plagued by the injury bug all season long, but they won't have to deal with the absence of Harry Douglas on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Harry Douglas is active for the team's matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Douglas raised a few eyebrows after showing up on the team's practice report on Thursday with a knee injury, which held him out of action. It was a new injury for Douglas, who practiced fully on Wednesday beforehand and was able to return at a limited capacity on Friday.

Fantasy Spin: A mid-week injury is always something fantasy owners should monitor, not jut for the severity, but because players have less time to recover than one sustained in a previous game. But with all systems a go for Douglas, he has a juicy matchup ahead against an underrated Buccaneers pass defense, but will likely draw the struggling Johnthan Banks and Leonard Johnson in coverage while Roddy White gets the Darrelle Revis treatment.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Rishard Matthews exploited the Buccaneers' coverage in Week 10, and Douglas has a similar role on his team's respective offense. As a result, pen him in as a WR3 versus a team he also lit-up for 149 yards and a touchdown earlier this season.
