He appeared on the sidelines shortly afterward with a bag of ice on the ailing limb, but headed to the locker room not long after that, presumably for further evaluation. He left under his own power, but was walking with a noticeable limp.
Chandler was 1-for-1 with two points and two rebounds in seven minutes of play before exiting, and his return status is unknown.
New York enters Tuesday night's action with a 1-2 record as it faces the Bobcats and tries to get back in the win column after struggling to this point in the young season. Through three games, the Knicks are allowing 98.1 points per 100 possessions, and Chandler's defensive capabilities are a big reason why.
The 2001 No. 2 overall pick is averaging nine points and 11.3 rebounds to go along with three blocks per game this season.
Update: Chandler will not return to Tuesday's game.
