Banana Joe, the tiny Affenpinscher, took home Best In Show honors at the Westminster Dog Show on Tuesday night.
Best In Show at the 2013 Westminster Dog Show went to the Affenpinscher, Banana Joe, on Tuesday night. After winning the Toy Group on Monday night, Banana Joe was named the winner of the 137th show that crowns America's top canine.
Here's Banana Joe, making the leap up to his brand new throne.
Ernesto Lara, the dog's handler, said afterwards that Banana Joe will likely skip off into the sunset and retire to the Netherlands after his Westminster victory.
Reserve Best In Show went to the Old English Sheepdog, Swagger, who looks as though he probably would have had a few words to say to Banana Joe in this moment, if he could talk and all.
Affenpinschers, according to Westminster's web site, are nicknamed "moustached little devils" in France because of their punchy take on dog life. They hold themselves in high regard, but are eager to please those around them. The mark of a true champion.
