The Raptors' swingman did what his two teammates couldn't: actually complete a dunk. And he got rewarded for it.
Terrence Ross emerged as the East's last hope in the second round after both James White and Gerald Green failed to complete their dunks, and ... well, he completed his dunk at least. Ross did a pretty basic dunk, throwing it up in the air and throwing down a 180-spin one-handed dunk. Here it is:
The judges, faced with Stockholm Syndrome from the previous misses, gave him a 49. I don't get it either.
AESTHETICS
This was a really basic, safe dunk that only came out because Ross' previous two teammates missed their slams. At least that's what I hope the deal was.
