The Golden State Warriors will debut their new short-sleeve jerseys when they play the Spurs on ESPN Friday night.
It's the moment that we've all been waiting for -- the Golden State Warriors will wear their cool/ugly uniforms with sleeves on Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs. The new Adidas-sponsored jerseys were announced earlier this year, but the Warriors are yet to wear them in a game. Until now, that is!
We know that all of you are rushing out to the store/interweb to order your very own jersey with sleeves (basically a shirt), but hurry! The Warriors break out their new style on Friday night at 10:30 on ESPN.
While Golden State wears these unprecedented uniforms, the Spurs will wear their typical lively white, black, and grey jerseys. And Gregg Popovich will probably be frowning about something even if San Antonio has a 30-point lead and Tim Duncan has 19 rebounds.
I'm sure that the Warriors have practiced in them in preparation for this game, but it will be interesting to see if the jerseys with sleeves have any impact on Stephen Curry's flawless jump shot.
Update: Here is a look at the actual, in-game jerseys as they debuted on Friday night:
