Carl Edwards's nightmare at Daytona continued as he wrecked with 63 laps to go on Sunday.
Update: Jimmie Johnson wins the Daytona 500
With 63 laps remaining in the Daytona 500 a six-car wreck involving the cars of Carl Edwards, Trevor Bayne, David Ragan, David Gilliland, Josh Wise, Austin Dillon and Terry Labonte erupted.
The accident was started as the field was racing into Turn 1 when Bayne made contact with the rear of Brad Keselowski's Ford. As Keselowski's car jumped sideways, the pack behind him stacked up with Bayne spinning up the high-banks and into the path of Edwards and Dillon.
This is the fifth wreck Edwards has had during Speedweeks and the second for Bayne, with both drivers also being involved in an incident during Thursday's Budweiser Duels.
Front Row Motorsports was the big loser during the resulting melee as all three of its cars -- driven by Ragan, Gilliland and Wise -- suffered significant damage.
While watching a replay on Fox, Edwards called the week "so frustrating" and said he was ready to go to next week's race at Phoenix and "dominate and win."
Defending Daytona 500 champion Matt Kenseth continues to control things out front, as he has led a race-high 85 laps.
