The Knicks were cruising to an easy win over the Detroit Pistons on Monday night. Then Tyson Chandler did something that the Knicks haven't seen in over 40 years.
The New York Knicks have had some great big men over the years — Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley, Eddy Curry. But none of those managed what Tyson Chandler has done over the past three games. Against the Detroit Pistons, the All-Star center grabbed 20 rebounds for the third straight game.
According to the Knicks, this hasn't happened since 1969.
.@tysonchandler now has 20 or more rebounds in three consecutive games. Last #Knicks player to do that: Willis Reed in 1969.

The last NBA player to do this was Kevin Love back in 2011. Tyson Chandler will have a chance to make it four games in a row against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
