The Baltimore Ravens are celebrating their Super Bowl XLVII win with a parade through downtown Baltimore that will end with a celebration at M&T Bank Stadium. While the team has been riding along the route in Hummers and other military vehicles, at one point, safety Ed Reed couldn't contain his excitement. Reed took the Lombardi Trophy and ran along the edge of the crowds, allowing fans to touch the hardware.
Celebrating the first Super Bowl win of his impressive career, Reed was obviously overcome with emotion. He bolted from his vehicle and ran back and forth between the crowds lined up along the route. To the dismay of the parade's security detail, he often reached over the safety barriers to embrace fans and give as many as possible a chance to get a hand on the trophy. Reed looked like he wanted to dive into the middle of the crowds, but he managed to stay between the barriers.
Tuesday's parade has been raucous to say the least, and at times, fans have spilled over the barriers and walked along the route beside the players' vehicles. Once the players make their way to M&T Bank Stadium, they will celebrate with nearly 80,000 fans.
