NFL free agency 2013: Eagles interested in Ricky Jean-Francois

Primarily a back-up in San Francisco, soon-to-be free agent Ricky Jean-Francois is garnering a lot of attention from around the league, including from the Philadelphia Eagles.

In the 72 hours before NFL free agency begins, we know that lots of phone calls are being made from team executives to player agents, and one player is garnering more attention than many: Defensive tackle Ricky Jean-Francois.

At least five teams have contacted Jean-Francois' agent, among them the Philadelphia Eagles.

Other teams showing interest include the Tennessee Titans (LINK) and the Green Bay Packers (LINK).

The former 7th-round draft pick will likely want to sign somewhere that he could get a shot at starting, and he used Twitter at one point to drop some hints as to what he might be thinking.

At the end of the day, the NFL is a business, and Jean-Francois will likely place contract money and playing time higher on the priority list than geographical location.

One thing is for sure, he's generating a significant amount of interest from around the league considering he spent most of his time with the 49ers in a backup role.

Where will he land? Stay tuned...
