The SEC tournament quarterfinals continue tonight, with Texas A&M taking on Missouri in Nashville. The Aggies struggled in the final stage of the regular season, dropping four of six and playing their way out of an at-large bid. Missouri finished strong, winning four of six, including a Feb. 9 win over then-No. 5 Florida. ESPN's Joe Lunardi has Mizzou as a No. 8 seed, meaning their 11-7 conference record has them securely in the postseason.
Texas A&M is led by fifth-year senior guard Elston Turner, who averages 17.9 points per contest. The Aggies play nine-deep, with all nine guys logging over 12 minutes.
Texas A&M prevailed in their only meeting this season, winning at home 70-68 on Feb. 7.
Missouri should have a strong advantage up front, as they are the third best rebounding team in the nation. Alex Oriakhi and Laurence Bowers combine to average over 15 rebounds, and the Tigers pull over 41 of them per game as a team. The rebounds lead to buckets, as Mizzou averages over 77 points per game, compared to just 64.2 for the Aggies
