It seemed crazy that Kobe Bryant would play so soon after sustaining the worst ankle sprain in his career. Anyone who's followed his career for a minute knows his toughness and determination to win but, were it anyone else, his sanity would be in question.
It hasn't been pretty, though Bryant played the whole first quarter. He had a rebound and a couple assists but missed all four of his shot attempts. After the first half ended, Lakers reporter Mike Trudell revealed the team will rest Kobe for the remainder of the game.
Official update from LAL: @kobebryant is done for the game. He played the whole 1st Q, but can't go any more on the ankle.— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) March 16, 2013
So maybe he is human after all. A little bit, anyway.
