Vanderbilt fans chant "N-I-T" after wrecking Kentucky in SEC tournament

Crystal LoGiudice-US PRESSWIRE

Vanderbilt fans think the whole "NCAA tournament" thing is so last year, want a spot in NIT tournament.

Vanderbilt is an extreme long-shot to advance to the NCAA tournament, but Commodores fans seem just fine with that as they cruised to a 64-48 victory over Kentucky in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament.

With Vanderbilt winning six of its last seven games, fans might be onto something. The win evens the Commodores' record to 16-16 and the thrashing of an on-the-bubble team like Kentucky doesn't hurt.
