The Pac-12 Champion Oregon Ducks enter the NCAA Tournament with a bit of a chip on their shoulder, after being placed as the No. 12 seed in the Midwest region by the NCAA Tournament committee. They will square off with the region's No. 5 seed, the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Thursday at 4:40 p.m. ET on TNT.
Oregon enters the NCAA Tournament following a 78-69 Pac-12 Championship Game victory over UCLA March 16. In the win, the Ducks were led by guard Carlos Emory, who finished the game with 20 points, including two three-pointers. Center Arsalan Kazemi added 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Ducks, who arrive in the tournament with a 26-8 overall record.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma State enters this game as the No. 5 seed in the Midwest region, following a season in which they went 24-8 overall and 13-5 in Big 12 play. Marcus Smart led the Cowboys with 15.4 points and 4.2 assists per game this season, on his way to being named the Big 12 Player of the Year.
The winner of this game will next square off with the winner of the No. 4 vs. No. 13 matchup in the Midwest, between the Saint Louis Billikens and New Mexico State Aggies.
