Kobe Bryant's injury gets the NMA treatment

USA TODAY Sports

This explains the whole situation.

No news story is legitimate until the Taiwanese animation studio NMA provides its take. So, now Kobe Bryant's season-ending injury is real:

So, to recap, Kobe's knee caught fire, he cried, Kevin Ware (???) laughed at him, Emile Hirsch put on a Steve Nash jersey and fell down while walking on a crutch, Jeremy Lin flew in on a rocket, and now all the Lakers are showing off their "baller skills" in Kobe's absence. Sources confirm all of the above to be true.
