Stanley Cup Playoffs 2013: Conference Semifinal day-by-day TV guide

Bruce Bennett

A handy guide to game times, TV networks and everything else needed to know about round two in the U.S. and Canada.

Welcome to round two of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and round two of my TV guide for viewers in the United States and Canada for the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs. We have a full schedule to get to, complete with TV info for all of them, but first a few notes:

*NBC will air games in three timeslots during the Conference Semifinals. The network has Game 2 of Detroit-Chicago at 1 p.m. ET this Saturday, while Game 2 of Boston and the Rangers airs at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday. Then, on May 25, NBC will showcase either Red Wings-Blackhawks or Rangers-Bruins in primetime at 8 p.m. ET. Presumably, it'll be whichever series is either more competitive, still going, or drawing higher ratings. All things even... I'd bet on Red Wings-Blackhawks.

*NBC Sports Network will air all but one of the non-NBC games through Game 4 of each Conference Semifinal series. The lone game on CNBC is Game 4 between the Rangers and Bruins on Thursday, May 23.

*CBC picked Senators-Penguins (featuring the game's biggest star and lone remaining Canadian team) and Red Wings-Blackhawks for round two, giving TSN Sharks-Kings and Rangers-Bruins.

*TSN will add George Parros of the Florida Panthers and Daniel Briere of the Philadelphia Flyers as guest studio analysts for round two. Darren Pang will also spend much of the Conference Semifinals on their panel before heading off to work the Conference Finals on NBC.

*Don Cherry will be on CBC during the Sens-Pens series, likely starting out each broadcast with "I KNOW ALL YOUS FOLKS IN TORONNA ARE WONDRIN' WHAT THA' LEAFS WOULDDA' DONE AGAINST THE RANGERS LAST NIGHT SO I'M THA' GUY WHO'S GUNNA' SHOW YA'. THUMBS UP LET'S GO."

Here's the TV schedule for round two in both countries. This will be updated throughout the Conference Semifinals with announcers and times and networks.
