Preakness Stakes odds 2013: Orb still favored heading into weekend

Rob Carr

There's no change at the top, but a few of the lines behind Orb have shifted as of Friday.

As of Friday, Orb remains the favorite to win the Preakness Stakes, the second leg of horse racing's Triple Crown, on Saturday.

After winning the first leg, the Kentucky Derby, Orb has current odds of 10/11 at the Preakness, according to the Bovada Sportsbook. This means no change for the favorite since Thursday's odds were posted. Next in the nine-horse draw, Mylute and Departing share 13/2 odds. This isn't different for Departing, but Mylute moved there from a 6/1 line on Thursday.

Nothing has changed for the race's underdogs either. Titletown Five remains the biggest long shot with 28/1 odds, and Oxbow's 16/1 line also hasn't shifted.

Goldencents, the horse partly owned by Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino, sits at 8/1 odds, followed by Govenor Charlie and Itsmyluckyday, who share 10/1 odds. Will Take Charge rounds out the field with a 12/1 line.

The Pimlico Race Course, site of the Preakness, in Baltimore, Maryland, is a little shorter in length than the Kentucky Derby -- 1 3/16 miles compared to the Derby's 1 1/4 miles. Like this year's Kentucky Derby, Preakness participants may also have to deal with some rain, as there is currently a 50 percent chance of Saturday showers in Baltimore.

Complete odds:

Orb - 10/11
Mylute - 13/2
Departing -13/2
Goldencents - 8/1
Govenor Charlie - 10/1
Itsmyluckyday - 10/1
Will Take Charge - 12/1
Oxbow - 16/1
Titletown Five - 28/1
