The 16 regional hosts for the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament have been announced. The hosting of a regional also includes an automatic bid into the 64-team tournament. The ACC leads the country with five of the regionals, followed by the SEC with four and the Pac-12 with three. The Big 12, Big Ten, Big West and Big East all have one each.
The remaining teams, seeding and first-round regional pairs will be announced at noon ET on Monday, May 27, with coverage of the event on ESPNU. The full listing of hosts is below, including stadium information and team record (through May 26).
All of the conference favorites will host a regional. Virginia, tops in the ACC, LSU and Vanderbilt are the SEC heavyweights, and Oregon State is the team to watch in the Pac-12. There are plenty of other contenders playing host, going by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.
