Matt Kuchar is now third in the 2013 FedExCup standings, moving up on the board after a second place finish in the Crowne Plaza Invitational. The 300 points he earned him moved in from fifth to third, just 52 points behind Brandt Snedeker. Tiger Woods remains the leader with 2,340 points.
Kuchar had a shot at winning the Invitational, which would have given him 500 points and second place, but three straight birdies by Boo Weekley kept the victory just one stroke out of Kuchar's reach. That allowed Weekley to make a jump in the standings, moving from 28th place to sixth. The weekend's tournament saw no other movement inside the top 10.
Next on the Cup schedule is The Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance, running from Thursday May 30 to Sunday June 2. There are 500 points at stake, meaning tour leader Tiger Woods's No. 1 spot is safe. The rest of the field may see some shuffling, with Keegan Bradley, Kevin Streelman, Matt Kuchar and other top 10 golfers all scheduled to participate.
