College World Series 2013: Bracket, format and complete schedule for Omaha

Ronald Martinez

The NCAA Baseball Tournament has reached its dramatic home stretch. From June 15 to 26, eight teams will make their final push for a national championship. This is your source for all of the Omaha logistics, including the bracket, round format and complete schedule.

Well, we're finally here. After 119 games, eight teams have earned the right take the field in Omaha for the 2013 College World Series.

So here's how this works: The eight teams have been divided into two bracket groups of four. Each group will play a double-elimination format identical to the regional round to determine a bracket winner. Those two bracket winners will then face each other in a best-of-three series for the national championship.

Make sense? No? Head over to NCAA.com for a visual representation in the form of their interactive bracket.

Teams have been grouped together in the following brackets:

Bracket 1: Indiana, Louisville, Mississippi State and Oregon State.

Bracket 2: LSU, N.C. State, North Carolina and UCLA.

The final round stretches over a week and a half period. Group play begins on Saturday and will last, depending on game outcomes, as long as Saturday, June 22. The championship series will begin on Monday, June 24, with an if-necessary Game No. 3 concluding the tournament on Wednesday, June 26. All games will be played in TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb.

Below is the complete schedule for the CWS. It may make your brain hurt a bit, but don't worry, we'll be putting out individual day schedules every morning that will be a little more manageable. We'll also be updating this schedule as we move forward, which will make the maze of "winner of Game X vs. loser of Game Y" easier to follow.
