Nominated by valued Internet subscriber Jeff Zimmerman. Special nomination. Has not previously appeared in THIS WEEK IN GIFs.

WHILE MEN CAST THEIR EYES TO THE GROUND IN SEARCH OF THE SUN, A CHILD SHALL EMERGE AMONGST THEM. FROM THE HANDS OF CHILDREN, MIRACLES. A CHILD SHALL LEAD THEM. That bro in the blue shirt is probably still looking for the ball.

(10) YANKEES IN THE STORM.

Via Over the Monster, our Red Sox blog. Won Week 49 of THIS WEEK IN GIFs with 285 votes.

Brett Gardner's reaction is the most important here, of course, but it's also worth noting a) the dude two seats to the left of him who holds his mouth agape like they only do in the comics, b) the guy in the yellow raincoat walking over to clown him, and c) the person in the stands who reacts by slowly tilting back and forth like a rocking horse.

Just FYI, as great as this GIF is, it's not even the best Yankees GIF of the tournament. Check back tomorrow.
