In-Game Suckage Alert

+

John Danks of the White Sox is pitching against the Minnesota Twins this afternoon. At this writing, he's given up four home runs in 4.1 innings pitched. Clete Thomas, Eduardo Escobar, Oswaldo Arcia, and Brian Dozier have already gone yard. He's also given up 11 hits, but Robin Ventura apparently isn't up for an early bullpen day as Danks is still in there. The veteran lefty is on the comeback trail after shoulder surgery and it shows; this is the first time he's ever given up four homers in a game. It's the 11th time a pitcher has allowed a quartet this year. Incredibly, two pitchers, Freddy Garcia and Dave Bush, needed only three innings to do it.
