NBA Draft 2013: Green Room invitees announced

Anthony Bennett, Nerlens Noel highlight the NBA Draft invite list, while Shabazz Muhammad has been left off for now.

With the NBA Finals over, attention in pro basketball circles shifts to next week's NBA draft. The initial list of Green Room invitees was released Saturday night. According to ESPN's Chad Ford, 10 players, highlighted by Nerlens Noel and Anthony Bennett, have been invited to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Bennett (Scouting Report) is currently the top prospect on SB Nation's Big Board, while Noel (Scouting Report) is currently ranked at number five, but is seen by many as the prospect most likely to be taken number one by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The only prospect invited that is outside of the SB Nation top 10 is CJ McCollum (Scouting Report), but Jonathan Tjarks still has him listed as a top 10 pick.

Ford also noted that it's not uncommon for a player or two to be added to the invite list as the week goes on, which means other top prospects like Shabazz Muhammad (Scouting Report) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Scouting Report) could still find themselves involved as well.

The NBA Draft starts at 7 p.m. Thursday night and can be seen on ESPN.
