2013 NASCAR At Sonoma race day weather update: Rain delays the start of the Toyota Save Mart 350

As the Sprint Cup Toyota/Save Mart 350 was getting ready to start rain showers and sprinkles were occurring. Could we see anymore as we go through the day.

It is cooler, cloudy, breezy with scattered rain showers and drizzle this afternoon at Sonoma Raceway. These light rain showers have already caused a few delays and we could see a few more as we go through the remainder of the afternoon.

While I don't anticipate major delays, because most of these showers will be light, don't be surprised if we see a few more delays and yellow flags due to rain. We really need to get this race in today because the forecast for Monday and Tuesday are wetter than today. I think we can realistically get to halfway if not farther.
