Post time for the 2013 Belmont Stakes is less than an hour away and Orb continues to hold on as the betting favorite. The Kentucky Derby winner remains a slight favorite with Revolutionary and Oxbow just behind.
Orb is a 3/1 favorite, according to the latest unofficial odds from OddsShark. He was the opening line favorite and has remained at the top of the betting board. Orb may be the favorite, but Revolutionary is not far behind at 9/2 and even though Orb won the Kentucky Derby, Revolutionary was the pre-race betting favorite and is once again among the favorites.
Revolutionary has finished in the top three of all seven of his races and could be a strong contender on Saturday with wet track conditions, according to SB Nation's Matt Gardner:
He's run well on wet tracks, dry tracks, long races, short races, and his pedigree features a lot of stamina on his dam side. In short, Revolutionary should be primed to run another quality race on Saturday.
Oxbow, the Preakness Stakes winner, is also near the top of the betting board with 5/1 odds. If you're looking for a pick who's not among the favorites, Gardner suggests Incognito who has 20/1 odds, but has a strong pedigree for the mile-and-a-half race.
