NASCAR New Hampshire 2013: Kyle Busch lambasts Ryan Newman

Jared C. Tilton

Kyle Busch lashed out at Ryan Newman calling him an "idiot" and an "ogre," following Sunday’s NASCAR race.

Kyle Busch may have finished second in the Camping World RV Sales 300, but that doesn't mean he left New Hampshire Motor Speedway pleased.

When asked about a Lap 226 wreck that knocked out his brother, Kurt Busch, along with Newman, Kyle vehemently defended his older sibling.

"Ryan Newman is the biggest stupid idiot out here,'' Kyle said when interviewed by SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. "He's a big ogre and can do whatever he wants because he can probably kick anybody's butt. So no sense getting in a fight with him. Glad he's out of a job.''

Busch was referring to the news that Newman will be losing his ride with Stewart-Haas Racing at the end of the season, which was announced Friday.

Kurt Busch and Newman were jockeying for position with several drivers when Busch's Chevrolet broke loose and slid into Newman's machine. Busch didn't place blame afterward while Newman mentioned a variety of potential culprits.

"We just got whacked by a bunch of guys," he said. "(Kyle Busch) hit me first, (Brad Keselowski) hit me next and then I guess it was Kurt that went underneath three-wide. (Matt Kenseth) came and clipped us and knocked us into the fence and took himself out.

Busch finished 31st, Newman 39th.
