Mets 7, Braves 4: Zack Wheeler allowed three earned runs in six innings, and the Mets got multi-hit games from their No. 2 hitter, Daniel Murphy, their No. 3 hitter, David Wright and their No. 4 hitter, Marlon Byrd.
Nationals 9, Pirates 7: Bryce Harper hits walkoffs now. Kid can pretty much do everything.
Yankees 2, Rangers 0: Hiroki Kuroda pitched seven scoreless and the Yankees only scored two because Alfonso Soriano couldn't make it to the stadium in time to pinch-hit.
White Sox 7, Tigers 4: Jake Peavy allowed four runs over seven innings in what could be his final start for the White Sox. Tyler Flowers was 2-4 with a home run.
Padres 10, Brewers 8: Despite a five-run seventh inning for the Brewers, the Padres were able to hold on to this one. Carlos Quentin and Jesus Guzman each hit home runs.
Marlins 5, Rockies 3: The Marlins showcased some of their young talent in this one, as Nate Eovaldi threw six shutout innings. Christian Yelich was 1-4, and Jake Marisnick failed to pick up his first hit, going 0-4.
Blue Jays 4, Astros 0: Mark Buehrle did Mark Buehrle Things, throwing a two-hit complete game shutout in two hours and 18 minutes.
Cardinals 3, Phillies 1: Lance Lynn allowed one run in seven innings and turned it over to the relentless duo of Trevor Rosenthal and Edward Mujica at the back of the bullpen. The Cardinals keep on rolling.
Royals 7, Orioles 1: Billy Butler hit a home run, Alex Gordon hit a triple and Jeremy Guthrie pitched seven innings of one-run baseball in this one as the Royals continue to maintain their mediocrity.
Diamondbacks 3, Cubs 1: A home run by Aaron Hill and an excellent performance from Wade Miley gave the Diamondbacks an easy win over the depleted Cubs.
Angels 8, Athletics 3: Albert Pujols, Mike Trout and Mark Trumbo each picked up two RBIs as the Angels knocked starter Dan Straily out of the game early. C.J. Wilson turned in a quality start for the Halos as they gained some ground on the first-place A's.
Reds 5, Dodgers 2: The Reds continued their domination of the National League West as they moved from defeating the Giants to defeating the first-place Dodgers. This win did not come so easily, however, as the Dodgers staged yet another dramatic late-inning comeback. Unfortunately, Los Angeles came up short this time. Mat Latos gave up just one earned run on eight hits in 7⅓ innings of work. Xavier Paul and Jay Bruce hit home runs for Cincinnati.
Twins 2, Mariners 8: Seattle was working on a shutout behind the once-again-spectacular Hisashi Iwakuma, but Minnesota managed to scratch out a pair of runs against the bullpen with two outs in the top of the ninth. Iwakuma allowed four hits over six innings while striking out nine and walking one. Nick Franklin hit his eighth home run of the season.
