With the Deutsche Bank Championship beginning a day later than most PGA Tour tournaments, viewers tuning in on Saturday won't find the third-round coverage they are used to seeing. Instead, there will be limited second-round television coverage with just a three hour broadcast.
Television coverage will be extended on Sunday and Monday, but until then viewers will have to get by with limited coverage. Golf Channel will handle the second-round broadcast and coverage will begin at 3 p.m. and run until 6 p.m. Although limited, the coverage will allow viewers to watch some of the late action live. That includes the featured group of Tiger Woods, Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson.
The three players, who opened the tournament in the top three spots in the FedExCup standings, will be paired together for the second straight day. They are scheduled to tee off at 1:10 p.m., so at least half of their rounds should occur during the broadcast window. Jason Dufner, Bubba Watson and Lee Westwood are also among the players who will be in action during the afternoon.
Viewers will also be able to watch a simulcast of Golf Channel's coverage online via Golf Live Extra. PGA Tour Radio will provide radio coverage with the broadcast running from noon to 6 p.m. Here is a complete look at Saturday's coverage options.
