Mayweather vs Canelo weigh-ins: Canelo at 152 pounds

Mike Stobe

Canelo Alvarez hits the 152 pound limit at the weigh-ins for his bout with Floyd Mayweather.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez stepped onto the scale at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada tonight to make it official for his bout with Floyd "Money" Mayweather on Showtime pay per view tomorrow night. While the usual weight for junior middleweight would be 154 pounds, the Mayweather camp negotiated a 152 pound catchweight for the bout.

There was some concern over if Canelo would be able to make the weight successfully, but when he stepped on in front of a lively crowd he checked in exactly at 152.

The fight takes place live on Showtime pay-per-view Saturday night. The card starts at 9 p.m. ET with the main event fighters likely to hit the ring around midnight. Standard definition costs $65 with high def costing $75, the most expensive boxing PPV ever.
