Floyd Mayweather seemed to be building a good lead on the scorecards against Canelo Alvarez as the second half of the fight started.
Canelo seemed to be allowing Mayweather to get off the ropes without punishing him, and in the seventh allowed Mayweather to counter him off the ropes with jabs. But Canelo did land an uppercut and his own jab.
Mayweather just worked his jab very well in the round and then threw a beautiful uppercut that landed flush.
Canelo stopped responding with punches as Mayweather began to pot shot him. Canelo then exploded off the ropes with a combination that missed.
