Hey, hockey's back soon, you guys! The 2013-14 NHL regular season begins Oct. 1, but the pre-season starts in just 10 days. The league has some surprisingly decent TV coverage of it through NHL Network, which will air 22 games in the month of September, which was revealed by the league schedule at their website.
Five doubleheaders and one tripleheader highlight the league-owned network's pre-season slate. None of the games are original productions from NHL Net, which means you'll be seeing mostly feeds from CBC and regional sports networks. The Vancouver Canucks appear six times, more than any other team.
NBCSN has aired a few pre-season games in years past, so we might see a couple more games added on TV in the U.S.
