Argentina vs. Brazil suspended

Wednesday night's second leg tie between Argentina and Brazil in the Superclásico de las Américas has been suspended. Though neither team had a full side, as this is not a FIFA date, both teams were taking the match seriously and it's an important match for both managers to get a look at fringe players. The best players based in Brazil and Argentina were selected for the two sides, but unfortunately, there is no game for them to play.

The match has been suspended due to a floodlight failure at Estadio Centenario in Resistencia. The stadium is not one of the primary venues for national team matches and is currently the home to a fourth division side. There was not a serious power failure at the stadium, but rather a problem with one bank of lights that could not be fixed on short notice.

Argentina and Brazil will reschedule the match for a date to be determined. Brazil won the first leg of the Superclásico 2-1.
