1. Manchester United vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Details: Wednesday, January 1 @ 12:30 PM ET - Old Trafford - Manchester, U.K.

Watch Here: NBCSN on XFINITY

Why Watch: The biggest and most intriguing match of the day – a climbing Manchester United club hosts a quality Tottenham club. Tottenham won their last match at Old Trafford (3-2) and would like to duplicate success on 2014’s first day, but Man U is thinking otherwise. With Rooney and possibly Robin van Persie coming back, the excitement is heightened for Jan. 1’s final Premier League match. Get your #BPLonNBC on New Years Day by streaming the Spurs and Devils on NBCSN.

2. Iowa vs. LSU

Details: Wednesday, January 1 @ 1:00 PM ET - Raymond James Stadium - Tampa, FL

Watch Here: ESPN on XFINITY

Why Watch: Get set for a great matchup of the #B1G and #SEC as the Hawkeyes and Tigers take the field in Florida Wednesday afternoon. The Hawkeyes are a tough team that are looking to upset the No. 16 LSU Tigers, and very while could. The Iowa linebackers are arguably the best in the nation and can contain the LSU run game. Is that an upset alert for this early afternoon action? Keep an eye on the Outback Bowl – it’s going to come down to the wire!

3. Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Detroit Red Wings

Details: Wednesday, January 1 @ 1:00 PM ET - Michigan Stadium - Ann Arbor, MI

Watch Here: NBC on XFINITY

Why Watch: Hockey on the ice, in the elements, anticipated snow, what a setting for 2014’s #WinterClassic! Every Classic has been phenomenal, and this one is going to be the icing (no penalty here) on the cake – in the BIG HOUSE! There have been 105,500 tickets sold, with an anticipated attendance of 107,000! The attendance record is just over 71,000. Will Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf lead his team to a win or will the home state Red Wings win it in Ann Arbor?

4. Stanford vs. Michigan State

Details: Wednesday, January 1 @ 5:00 PM ET - Rose Bowl - Pasadena, CA

Watch Here: ESPN on XFINITY

Why Watch: The Cardinal and Spartans bring the boom on defense and power game on offense to Pasadena. This one will come down to time of possession and who can get the run game going. Stanford’s Tyler Gaffney has scored 20 times this season, while State’s Jeremy Langford has piled up over 1,300+ rushing yards. Who will stop these chain movers in this matchup of No. 4 MSU vs. No. 5 Stanford? Get ready for Wednesday’s best bowl game when the Rose Bowl kicks off on the XFINITY TV Go app!

5. Oklahoma vs. Alabama

Details: Thursday, January 2 @ 8:30 PM ET - Mercedes-Benz Superdome - New Orleans, LA

Watch Here: ESPN on XFINITY

Why Watch: All eyes will be on the Big Easy Thursday night, when the Sooners and Crimson Tide kickoff the 2014 Sugar Bowl. The Sooners are coming off an emotional win over the archrival, Oklahoma State, and will look to continue their dominant dual-QB system. The Sooners are averaging 230+ rush yards per game, but the Tide have allowed only two tailbacks to rush for 100 or more yards this season. Alabama is out for their fourth straight bowl win, and will look to send off senior QB A.J. McCarron in style. Can the Sooners control the Tide or is Bama going to Roll Thursday night? Tweet me your picks before kickoff!
