Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett had some pretty great times as members of the Boston Celtics. On Sunday, they played at the TD Garden in Boston as the visiting team for the first time since being traded during the offseason. The seats at the TD Garden were completely packed and the sold-out crowd gave the two future Hall of Famers the standing ovation that they deserved.
We knew this would be an emotional return for two guys who meant a lot to the Celtics franchise over the past several years. The Celtics had a video tribute for both KG and Pierce when they were announced in the starting lineup for the Brooklyn Nets and it's okay to admit that you teared up a little bit while watching them.
No word yet on whether or not Jason Terry will get a video tribute.
