1. OKC Thunder vs. Brooklyn Nets

Details: Friday, January 31 @ 8:00 PM ET – The Barclays Center – Brooklyn, NY

Watch Here: ESPN on XFINITY

Why Watch: The month of January has belonged to the Slim Reaper, the Thunder’s Kevin Durant, who’s averaging 36.6 points per game! While the month belongs to KD, the Nets might have OKC’s number as they’re one of only two Eastern Conference teams to have beaten the West’s best. Home is where the wins are for Brooklyn, as they’ve won eight of their last nine, including defeating the Heat and Warriors. Can the boys from the borough add OKC to that impressive list, or will we partake in another massive point total from the could be/should be MVP – Kevin Durant Friday night?

#5ToFollow Insider: Jay-Z - @RocNation

It will be hard to find someone who’s been more invested in both sides of the ball Friday night than Jay-Z. He was an owner of the Nets and heavily involved in their move to Brooklyn, and now his sports agency represents Durant. This should make for some interesting commentary via Twitter!

2. Stoke City vs. Manchester United

Details: Saturday, February 1 @ 10:00 AM ET – Britannia Stadium – Stoke-on-Trent, England, U.K.

Watch Here: NBCSN on XFINITY

Why Watch: Could we finally see a fully equipped Man U squad on the pitch Saturday morning? Reports are that Mata, RVP, and Rooney will be in fully fit to give it a go against Stoke and it should make it a must watch match. The Stokies are in the thick of a relegation battle, with an underwhelming 22 points on the year. A full three would be quite the achievement for City, as they’ve longed for the taste of victory since late December. Can Stoke handle the offensive firepower of the Red Devils? We shall see in the feature match of the morning on NBCSN!

3. Duke vs. Syracuse

Details: Saturday, February 1 @ 6:30 PM ET – Carrier Dome – Syracuse, NY

Watch Here: ESPN on XFINITY

Why Watch: Some thought that Cuse couldn’t handle the grind of the ACC, and so far they’re proving their doubters dead wrong! Syracuse is off to a school record 20-0 start and will be ready for the Blue Devils Saturday afternoon in the Carrier Dome. The story of the game is two great teachers and their star-studded pupils. Coach K and Coach Boeheim combine for nearly 2,000 wins (1,914) and five NCAA Titles. The pupils are their diaper dandy freshmen, Cuse guard Tyler Ennis and Duke forward Jabari Parker. These two have taken college hoops by storm and will highlight Super Bowl eve with superb play in the national spotlight. Make sure you’re streaming when these two top 25 teams tip off on the XFINITY TV Go app.

4. Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks

Details: Saturday, February 1 @ 8:30 PM ET – Madison Square Garden – New York, NY

Watch Here: ESPN on XFINITY

Why Watch: The Heat will be in a New York state of mind Saturday night when they return to the Garden for the first time since their 102-92 defeat on Jan. 9th. The Knicks have battled to remain in the playoff picture, but have been brilliant against the Heat with a 4-1 record in their last five meetings. Carmelo Anthony’s 62-point outburst caught the eye of one Lebron James who said he wants to go for 60 or 70 points in a game. Could we see an epic showdown between Melo and King James in the Garden Saturday night? We can only hope that both are on fire and neither can be extinguished before the final buzzer.

5. West Bromwich Albion vs. Liverpool

Details: Sunday, February 2 @ 8:30 AM ET – The Hawthorns – West Bromwich, England, U.K.

Watch Here: NBCSN on XFINITY

Why Watch: This is how you should kick off your Super Bowl Sunday – with a great EPL match on NBCSN! Liverpool Suarez (23) and Sturridge (13) have combined for 36 goals on the year – that’s more than Norwich, Palace, Sunderland, West Ham, and Cardiff have totaled as a team! On the other side, the Baggies are a tough club and will look to get Berahino some great looks in the box. Liverpool is one one of the elite offensive clubs in all the EPL, but can be leveled off when facing an aggressive, attacking offensive opponent. Will Pepe Mel have the Baggies up for the challenge or will Suarez and Sturridge continue to make torch their opposition? Get your #SB48 Sunday started with the #BPLonNBC.
