Best in Show 2014: Sky, the wire fox terrier, wins top honor at Westminster

Your 2014 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Best in Show is Sky, the wire fox terrier.

Sky, the wire fox terrier, has been named the Best in Show at the 2014 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Sky is the 138th recipient of the honor, following up Banana Joe, the Affenpinscher that won in 2013. Sky's handlers are Gabriel and Ivonne Rangel.

Sky has won plenty of awards in the past, and took the best in breed award earlier on Tuesday morning to advance to the Best in Show category. There's plenty of competition year-in and year-out, and the finalists for Best in Show came down to seven dogs: Nathan the bloodhound, Classie the miniature pinscher, Ally the standard poodle, Coco the Cardigan Welsh corgi, Matisse the Portuguese water dog, Riley the Irish water spaniel and, of course, Sky.

Many considered Matisse the favorite, but Sky has over 100 Best in Show awards under his belt and this isn't an upset by any means. His previous wins are greater in number than the rest of the finalists, so it's not shocking at all.
