2014 Sochi Olympics skiing schedule: Alpine and Nordic highlight Wednesday action

Rob Schumacher-USA TODAY Sports

Skiing medals will be handed out again on Wednesday.

So far the Norwegians have been dominating the cross-country skiing events at the 2014 Winter Olympics. While it has only picked up one skiing gold medal thus far, Norway has been piling up the medals on the slopes in Sochi.

One would think the Norwegians would continue their success in the Nordic combined skiing events. The normal hill jumping and the 10-kilometer cross-country final will take place early on Wednesday morning.

The first skiing event on Wednesday will be the women's downhill final, which takes place at 2 a.m. ET. The Austrians have been most successful in this event so far. Jacqueline Wiles, Laurenne Ross, Stacey Cook and Julia Mancuso are the four American skiers to watch during the Alpine downhill event.
