Concern has lingered over Sochi about the quality of the snow of the slopes, but the bigger concern Monday was fog hanging in the air over Rosa Khutor Extreme Park.

Lack of visibility has delayed the Men's Snowboardcross event and Men's Biathlon, which was originally pushed back from Sunday. Both are scheduled to begin Tuesday when it's hoped visibility will improve. The decision to postpone events has not yet affected Men's Aerials, which are believed to go on as scheduled in the hopes fog will dissipate before the events starts. It's unclear whether that will occur, with heavy fog still sitting over the extreme park.

IOC Spokesperson Mike Adams isn't concerned about the fog, telling the Associated Press they haven't received any complaints about the delays.

"In terms of what's going on there, I think it's actually quite ironic that the biggest issue we've had so far is due to winter fog," Adams said. "Winter sports is very unpredictable. It's a very dynamic field of play. At present, the conditions are good and we are continuing. We haven't had any major complaints up there."

Wet conditions forecast for the region wont help the presence of fog and it remains to be seen if more events on the slopes are delayed as a result.
