Elimination Chamber results: Batista beats Alberto Del Rio; crowd dissatisfied

Live crowds are still not digging Batista.

Surprise, Batista has defeated Alberto Del Rio at Elimination Chamber. The crowd was not into it, but they're all going to see Guardians of the Galaxy anyway.

Batista and Del Rio started talking trash about each other on Twitter in the build-up to Batista's return for the Royal Rumble, leading to a spot where Batista powerbomed Del Rio on Raw before that event. Del Rio was also made to look pretty bad in the Rumble itself, which led to their feud continuing in the build-up to Elimination Chamber.

Del Rio, who has been attacked numerous times by Batista, came out in a neckbrace and on a crutch saying that he couldn't compete. He then, unsurprisingly, proceeded to beat up Batista with the crutch before the start of the match. Del Rio had his ring gear on underneath street clothes, and eventually the match started.

As has been the case in numerous other Batista segments, the crowd instantly went into business for themselves. They chanted "Si! Si! Si!" for Del Rio's attacks, even though he's been working as a heel for more than 6 months. They also went into chants of "BOO-TIS-TA", "Daniel Bryan", "CM Punk", "Y2J" and "RVD". All of Batista's offense was booed and Del Rio's kick-outs were cheered.

The match didn't last too long for a co-main event. After less than 10 minutes, Del Rio went for the cross armbreaker and Batista countered, setting up a Batista Bomb and pin. No one cared.
