GIF Tournament V: Open thread for second-round matchups

We've narrowed the GIF Tournament field down to 24 funny, amazing, strange, and/or depressing sports GIFs. Monday, we head to the polls again.

Welcome once again to GIF TOURNAMENT V, everyone. Throughout last week, we voted on 48 of the most notable sports GIFs in recent history. And today, we vote on the 24 who survived.

A few key matchups stand out:

(16) ARIZONA STATE FACE KICK vs. (9) GERALD HENDERSON.

Do you prefer to see someone get hit in the face, or on the side of the head? That's what this second-round tilt is all about. FACE KICK pulled a convincing 16-1 upset to get here. At about half a second, it's the shortest GIF of the tournament, but it doesn't really need any more than that.

(12) JUST DO IT vs. (4) WASHINGTON STATE FAN.

Fan GIFs tend to go pretty deep in this tournament. Both of these individuals are live in a realm beyond boredom or purpose. One creates human graffiti during a press conference, and one is content to sit there and let the world pass by.

(3) MARVEY'O OTEY vs. (6) GO HUSKIES.

Of all 48 GIFs in this tournament, the Husky is the only one that doesn't appeal to me at all. It's just a dog doing a paw trick. It was lucky enough to get a friendly matchup in the first round, but I expect it to lose terribly at the hands of Marvey'o Otey. It's one of the craziest in-game shots I've ever seen, and it was pulled off by a high-schooler.

(12) TROY TULOWITZKI/JOSE FERNANDEZ vs. (4) ELVIS ANDRUS/ADRIAN BELTRE.

This is a battle of tag-team performances. Both are special, but based on first-round returns, I expect TULOWITZKI/FERNANDEZ to go far in this tournament. It's a GIF with a full dialogue.
