The 2014 WNBA Draft took place Monday night, and history was made. Connecticut held the No. 1 overall pick, and took Stanford's Chiney Ogwumike, whose sister Nnemkadi Ogwumike was the No. 1 overall choice in 2012 for the Los Angeles Sparks. The sisters are the first pair of siblings to go No. 1 since Eli and Peyton Manning in the NFL.
Ogwumike was a two-time AP All-American at Stanford, and finished her career as the leading scorer and rebounder in Pac-12 history. 2014 Wade Trophy winner Odyssey Sims of Baylor was taken No. 2 by the Tulsa Shock, while Notre Dame's Kayla McBride was the No. 3 pick for San Antonio.
Below is the first round of the draft. You can view the full results here.
