Juventus vs Livorno: Preview and TV schedule

Gabriele Maltinti

League leaders Juventus will be wary of relegation threatened Livorno when the two sides meet in Turin on Monday evening.

The Old Lady may be sitting pretty at the Serie A summit, but their 22 game unbeaten domestic streak is no more and their lead has been cut from 14 points to just five. AS Roma took full advantage of Juve's slip-up at Napoli last weekend to put the pressure back on Antonio Conte's side.

Serie A survival is the only thing on Livorno's mind. The Amaranto are currently two points from safety following the rest of the weekend's games. Given last week's fightback against Inter Milan, which saw Livorno wipe out a two goal deficit to rescue a draw, Domenico Di Carlo will be looking for a similar performance in Turin.

Juventus are currently balancing Europa League commitments alongside their domestic duties. The Bianconeri carry a slender 1-0 advantage over Lyon heading into this week's quarter final second leg and Conte is tipped to rotate his squad on Monday in order to avoid fatigue.

Carlos Tevez is available after suspension, but could miss out after leaving Thursday's game in France with a thigh complaint. The Argentine is currently the joint top marksman in Serie A with 18 goals. Arturo Vidal must sit out the game after accumulating too many bookings. Defenders Andrea Barzagli and Angelo Ogbonna are carrying knocks and will be assessed before kick-off, but Simone Pepe remains sidelined with a troublesome thigh problem.

Livorno's defensive pair Ibrahima Mbaye and Emerson look set to miss the trip through injury, while Andrea Luci is out for the season. Di Carlo will pin his hopes on 13 goal hitman Paulinho. Innocent Emeghara made an impact off the bench by netting the crucial equaliser in the draw with Inter and could be rewarded with a start here.

This will be Livorno's first trip to the Juventus Stadium. Juventus won the season's earlier fixture 2-0 in Tuscany and have won seven of the last nine meetings, with the other two games finishing level.
