Monday Night Football got off to a disastrous start for the New York Jets against the Indianapolis Colts. They couldn’t get anything going on offense, and it was the complete opposite for Andrew Luck and the Colts.
Luck found Dwayne Allen three times in the first half, giving them a 24-3 lead going into the locker room. They kept it going in the third quarter, when Luck hit Donte Moncrief for a touchdown to make it 31-3.
Fitzpatrick had completed 5-of-12 passes for 81 yards and an interception. Upon entering the game, Petty completed his first pass for 10 yards.
Petty has just one career start, and it came in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Rams. In that game, he went 19-of-32, throwing for 163 yards, along with one touchdown and one interception.
The Jets will hope he can turn things around in what has been a nightmare of a game at home.
