While #BoatGate begins to spin out of control with hot takes, counter takes, faux takes, and some supreme social media snark, Tom Brady has a little confession to make: he, too, used to travel whenever the Patriots had downtime during the season.
Talking about Giants going to Miami, Brady said when he was younger he would fly to California during off time. Didn't get reported.

Talking to WEEI on Monday, Brady admitted he would venture across the country to visit his home state while the Pats were still playing. It’s pretty safe to say it didn’t affect his playing ability, but Brady didn’t exactly advise others to follow his lead.
“You’re younger, you don’t have all the experience that you have. I’m at a point where doing this as long as I have, I cherish the opportunity that I have, and I’m putting everything into it.” Brady told the Kirk and Callahan Show. “I’ll have time at the end of the year to do things I need to do. But right now I have to focus on what my job is, and that’s to put everything I can into this week.”
Sure, Brady’s midseason travels never made any headlines, but then again, Brady only joined Instagram this week.
Also, he has a few Super Bowl rings, which works fairly well at ending a lot of controversies.
