He was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by Phoenix sports teams which he came to love. He's witnessed some classic Arizona sports moments, from the Dbacks opening day to routing the Yankees in game six of the 2001 World Series; ASU upsetting Nebraska in 1996 as well as losing to Ohio State in the 1997 Rose Bowl. He likes to root for the underdog and believes in the stories that go beyond sports to what they can tell us about life and people.
