Injuries affect both sides in today's Revierderby

The latest edition of the Revierderby between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 is upon us. Both teams are dealing with injuries, but there's no doubt Dortmund have the worst of it at the moment with two key attacking players unavailable for selection today.

Defender Mats Hummels has overcome injury doubts to start at the back for Dortmund, but this is a team still missing several key players including Mario Götze and Jakub Blaszczykowski. Marcel Schmelzer and Ilkay Gündogan were both unable to recover enough to make the bench.

Schalke are without Sergio Escudero, Chinedu Obasi and Kyriakos Papadopoulos and Julian Draxler. Jefferson Farfan overcame fitness doubts to making the starting eleven, whil Tranquillo Barnetta is also available on the bench.

Borussia Dortmund starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Roman Weidenfeller; Lukasz Piszczek, Neven Subotic, Mats Hummels, Kevin Großkreutz; Sven Bender, Sebastian Kehl; Marco Reus, Mortiz Leitner, Ivan Perisic; Robert Lewandowski.

Schalke 04 starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Lars Unnerstall; Atsuto Uchida, Benedikt Höwedes, Joel Matip, Christian Fuchs; Marco Höger, Roman Neustädter; Jefferson Farfan, Lewis Holtby, Imbrahim Afellay; Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
