Freiburg hardly struggle away to Wolfsburg in a 2-0 victory.

Wolfsburg are rooted to the bottom of the league table after a 2-0 defeat to Freiburg in the Volkswagen Arena. The loss is Wolfsburg's fourth straight, and they have yet to win at home this season.

Freiburg took the lead on 40 minutes. Naldo fouled Erik Jendrisek in the penalty area. Daniel Caligiuri stepped up to the spot and converted the penalty to give the hosts a deserved 1-0 lead.

Caligiuri was in fine form on the day and brought a great save out of Diego Benaglio to keep it 1-0 just after the half. Freiburg kept pushing for the additional goal, and Caligiuri saw his shot in the 64th minute smash off the crossbar.

Wolfsburg offered nothing in attack, and Freiburg were awarded with their second goal just before the final whistle. Jonathan Schmid found Julian Schuster, and the midfielder beat Benaglio to make it 2-0.

The win moves Freiburg up to 7th in the table for the moment. It's their second win in a row, and they'll take that momentum home next weekend when Borussia Dortmund pay them a visit.
