Freiburg gave the champions a tough match, but BVB's talent came through for a win.
Borussia Dortmund picked up a huge three points with a 2-0 victory away to Freiburg. The setting was great as the snow was falling as the champions moved within 9 points of the leaders Bayern Munich who play tomorrow.
Freiburg looked good early and were the best bet to find a goal, but BVB struck first through Neven Subotic. Marco Reus sent a free kick into the penalty area, and the Serbian defender headed the ball past Oliver Baumann for the 1-0 lead.
The hosts kept attacking despite the goal and nearly came close to scoring several times. Both sides struggled with their footing in the snow. BVB's defense looked unsure of themselves at times, but they held their nerve against the attack.
Both sides went back and forth until the 83rd minute when BVB finally found another goal. Robert Lewandowski played Mario Götze in behind the Freiburg backline, and he slipped the ball past Baumann into the far corner to make it 2-0 and seal the victory.
